By following the recipe below, you can make around 60 pieces of Homemade Christmas Gumdrops that are very colorful and chewy. The ingredients are very simple and easy to find. Besides, your children will love these gumdrops once you serve these to them.

Ingredients:

·         350 gr granulated sugar
·         250 gr applesauce
·         150 gr Jell-O (red or green, can be the cheery or lime Jell-O)
·         15 gr of gelatin (unflavoured)
·         A teaspoon of lemon juice

Directions:

1.      1To start, you need to prepare a baking dish with 9×13 inch size. Then, make sure that it is sprayed with the cooking spray. After that, you may set this aside and continue to prepare for the next ingredients. In step below, you will prepare the Jell-O mixture.
2.      2Simply prepare a large saucepan and combine some ingredients in it, like the applesauce, 2 cups of sugar, the Jell-O along with the lemon juice and the unflavoured gelatin. Cook and stir these ingredients over medium heat until they are all thoroughly mixed.
3.      3Bring the mixture to boil and keep stirring for around one minute and then pour this mixture on to the baking dish that you have been prepared before. Next, when the mixture is evenly spread, you may put it in the refrigerator to firm for around 3 hours or more.
4.      4After that, you may prepare a cutting board that has been lined with the parchment paper and drizzle with sugar. Bring the gelatin out of the refrigerator and place them onto the parchment paper. Here, you may use a spatula to help you remove the gelatin.
5.      5Now, it is time to cut the gelatin into several gumdrops. You can use the sharp cookie cutters to help you cut the gelatin. After you cut all of the gumdrops, place them on top of the sugary parchment paper for around 8 hours until they turn quite sticky.
