Orange Cardamom Beet Smoothie
Fresh beets add nutrients, flavor and a burst of color to this creamy, citrusy smoothie.

§  Yield: 1-2 servings
Ingredients
§  1 small (5 ounce) beet, peeled
§  1 large frozen banana
§  1 (1/2 inch) piece fresh ginger, peeled
§  1 cup orange juice
§  1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
Instructions
1.       Place all ingredients into a blender, and blend until smooth, stopping to scrape down the sides of the pitcher as needed.
Notes
For an extra creamy smoothie, use just 1/2 to 3/4 cup of orange juice.
